On April 10,1912, the RMS Titanic embarked on it's first maiden voyage. The Titanic, sailing from Southampton, England, to New York City, was the largest and most luxurious passenger ships of it's time and was considered unsinkable. On April 14, the Titanic struck an iceberg and early the next morning, it sank. 1500 people were gone. Because of this major tragedy, the Titanic became the most known ship in the world. Capturing public imagination, and inspiring many books and movies over this tragedy.
